Sometimes I work in Toby’s Estate Cafe across the road. $3.50 for a nice tea and some good ambiance and a change of environment. Cheapest office rental in town. No wifi though, but sometimes it’s good to be offline (yes, it’s true)

I actually worked out of a cafe from June to September this year. It was great. Excellent coffee, cheap as hell rent (I bought a couple of coffees and maybe some food each day) and great people.
It was actually the people element that clinched it for me. Being a freelancer, I couldn’t stand the idea of sitting at home and working alone for 8-10 hours a day with limited human contact. By plonking myself in the cafe, I made friends with the regulars and the staff, and maybe became a little bit of a landmark myself.
