I just found out that there are people in this world who spell my surname not LIUB but LUB - crazy. All these years I have had my name miss spelled, and now I find out that some people actually spell it that way.

Some of them look to be big political figures in the USA. See page two for the article on Swartzenegger.
Interesting.
hey hey —who writes about this Lubinskas name and its spelling?
Please e-mail me Wl
Actually there are several different spellings of Lubinskas. The “Liub….” form is the original spelling in Lithuania. It was “Americanized” several different ways when people came through Ellis Island. Even people with the name “Lubinski” or “Lubinskas” could have been people who’s original spelling from the old country was “Liubinskas”. For whatever reason many people just automatically pronounce my name as “Lubinski” even when they’re looking right at it. I’m used to it after many years of hearing it.
When in Lithuania Look up any Lubinskas

Wow…Australia! My brother, Jeff, recently visited Australia…he’s in the US Navy.
Hey Peter Lubinskas, I think I know your brother Jeff doe he have a boy named Joey? We’ve been trying to get ahold of him, so if it’s the same jeff and u could give me a contact to get ahold of him I would really appreciate it. My husband was on the same ship with him in the Navy and they were good friends.
